The white passito wine “Mantonico”, IGT Locride of Tenuta DioscuriThe name derives from the Greek mantonikos, meaning soothsayer or prophet. In fact, the resulting wine was used by the priests of ancient Locri Epizephyrii to celebrate ceremonies. The grapes are dried on racks in a greenhouse.

Mantonico PGI Locride passito wine has an amber yellow color. On the nose, it offers fruity, floral, and spicy aromas. On the palate, it is sweet with notes of honey, candied citrus, dried apricots, caramel, and spices; it is smooth, balanced, intense, refined, and persistent.

The Mantonico IGP Locride passito wine is best enjoyed with spicy hard cheeses, dry pastries and desserts and is recommended to be served at 14 – 16 °C.

Soil type: Clayey and calcareous, rich in minerals, with calcareous marl of Pliocene origin.
Altitude: They are found in hilly and flat areas, with altitudes ranging from about 50 to 100 meters above sea level, facing south-east and caressed by the Ionian sea breeze.

Refund policies

The right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of food which, by its nature, cannot be returned or is liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly during transport.

Therefore, for hygiene and customer protection reasons, they cannot be returned to the manufacturer and put back on the market without endangering consumer health.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy
