Cascià Passito DOC 2009 Red Wine from the San Severino Estates of the Fontezoppa Cellars It is made from Vernaccia Nera grapes, grown at an altitude comparable to mountain wines, where the grapes are hung to dry, after which the must is fermented and aged in barriques for at least three years. It has a dense amber color with ruby highlights, with aromas ranging from classic honey to caramel, dried fruit, dried figs, and the typical cinnamon of the grape variety. Excellent with biscuits or spicy desserts, it is best served at 14°C.
