Sardinia

Sardinia is a journey through a crystalline sea, past large and small coves with pure white sand. It is an island of ancient traditions, immersed in pristine nature. There are, in fact, some areas uninhabited by man but inhabited by deer, wild horses, and large birds of prey, and abundant with ponds, small desert areas, and forests filled with countless trees, some of which are thousands of years old. The main ingredient of Sardinian cuisine is wheat, milled to make pane carasau (a type of bread) and also used as the basis for the famous culurgiones (a type of pasta), malloreddus (a type of pasta made with maize flour), and fregola (a type of pasta made with maize flour). The most typical dish, however, is porceddu, a suckling pig grilled over a charcoal grill and served on cork trays draped with myrtle branches. For those who prefer seafood, try Carloforte tuna, Alghero lobster, Cabras bottarga (a type of bottarga), spaghetti with sea urchins, and clam soup. Sardinian cuisine also features cured meats and cheeses, especially Pecorino Sardo. On our marketplace, you can order the region's delicacies directly from the finest Italian producers, using only certified Italian products that respect the Made in Italy label. You'll also find excellent wines to accompany your dishes, such as Vermentino di Gallura or Cannonau. Myrtle liqueur is excellent as a digestif or simply for its flavor, which delights the palates of even the most discerning connoisseurs.
